Am i hopeing for something that wont happen?

So my ex boyfriend who i had been with for like 9 months i want to go back out with him and i tryed to tell him that but he said i should be the one who asks him out then and i was like well i know you dont want a girlfriend thats why i wont..so then i was just going to forget about it and move on and i went to this get together at a house and he was there and then he said he was sorry and that he loved me but we still arnt going out. we usually talk everynight on the phone and latley hes not been calling everynight it may be cause hes busy with basketball. My mom pointed out that he isnt busy on weekends when he could be with me. but he doesnt try. im just so confused and hurt and dont know wether to give up or not. A big part of me believes and i guess hopes will be together again.

First of all you didn't tell us why you all broke up in the first place. I learned a great lesson from my grandmother who is now 88. She always said an ex in an ex for a reason and should stay that way. I feel like your mom does. If he really wanted to be with you then he would make the time to be with you. Your clue that you did tell was that he isn't calling all the time anymore. I would try to go on. When one door closes another one opens. Concentrate on your schooling and when the time is right the right guy will come into your life.
Remember, don't ever settle for second best---you deserve to be someone's first choice and at the least he is putting basketball ahead of you and who knows what else or who else is taking up his free time as it isn't you. Listen to your mom, she is full of great advice.

If he loves you then he would want to be with you again. Or maybe he just wants to go out with other girls, i mena 9 months thats along time. if he doesnt ask you out after a long period of time then just move on.
