They are bleeding hearts who want a kumbaya type of nation and allow criminals to roam free and get plenty of benefits, all on the taxpayers.. I have yet to understand such a thought process that would support illegal aliens or the ACLU!

Because they are human beings.
And for your information Rush the people who benifit most from the illegal imigrant problem are the big buiseness owners who exploit the sweatshop labor that exists in every major city in this country.
Next time you buy your "I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free" ball cap, it might interest you to know that although it does have a made in America tag proudly put on it. It was more than likely sewed there by a Mexican lady who came here from a horribly impoversihed land looking for a better life, promised the world by a recruiter in her village who than transported her in the back of an eighteenwheeler refrigerated poultry truck to a slumlord apartment complex in las vegas, run by the same company that subcontracts for the manufacturer where she and her children live in a 500 square foot room with three other families.
There she also works 12 hours a day in a rum with 25 other women operating sewing machines with little ventalation and no airconditioning. All the while being threatened with deportation and promised with citizenship if she only works a little harder. She gets paid by the piece not the hour so she makes about 30 dollars a day after they take out the 18 dollars a day rent for staying at the only place that will rent to her with out calling the INS and having her deported she has almost enough to feed her family. She could have a lot more if she would let her 11 year old daughter do some special work for the man who runs the shop on weekends.
On September 23 2004 one such place was discovered in Los Angelas California. The owners were never prosecuted because all the witnesses were imediatly deported.

i feel our country lets in people from certain countries, and is prejudice to people from others,,, so with the basis that the system is unfair, i then dont have a problem with the illegals, especially those from mexico,
and i think that is important,, which illegals you are talking about, most think of those from mexico,, i imagine those both legal and illegal from other countries actually harm our society more.
and the reason they are illegal, is that we have defined it as such, our illegal immigrant problem would change greatly if mexicans were not considered illegals.
our history is not that long, we came as immigrants, took over the land, even some of the mexican land,,, and that, when we (meaning the american government) was taken the native americans land, was not even 200 years ago!
in a way they have a point, when they say " we are not crossing your borders, you crossed ours"
i think the problem is that they do not have a legal way to come into the united states, to work etc, why not just have something at the border, when they can sign,, or else a type of passport they can get?
why dont they? i dont know, they surely are not impacting most of americans jobs or lives, i also think the government has brought focus to this topic, to distract us from others, such as health care, and the "war" that isnt really a war,,,,,,,,,, we have had illegals for a long time, why is it such an issue now?
i dont think of myself as a bleeding heart liberal, in fact in many ways im conservative,,,,,, but i do think a person should really investigate and think things threw, not just listen to one source, and also should really consider what problems are right now important to america,,,,and this issue to me, is low on the list,, concerning certain immigrants,,,, now the radical cells in our country, that is another thing, only they are not all here illegally!

I am not for illegal immigration but I am for understanding peoples' plight and their reasons for doing the things they do. I refuse to talk smack on people for doing something they feel was in the best interest of their family without taking the time to understand where they are coming from and why. And while I am an American and see the impact illegal immigration has on our country, I also refuse to treat them as a scapegoat for everything that goes wrong here. I dont see the point in bashing illegals on this forum because you will gain nothing but attracting more people to talk crap and that, my friends, will have the same effect on people who dont think like you as those infamous marches had on you.

it's all about racism, something i cannot tolerate. you say not? why don't you mention all the southeast asians in california, illegally? how about all the russians and georgians here, illegally? pakistanis? heck, the europeans! and let's not forget canada. what percentage of canadian citizens live (and work) in the US? and yet you think it's not about racism?
what are benefits? tell me what would you be willing to pay for produce? how much for a clean hotel/motel room? a fast-food burger? oh did you want tomato on that? AND lettuce? sorry it's a little burnt, our new cook (they deported Jose), anyway, the cook says that's how they always cook them in the big house. yeah i know the bathrooms aren't clean anymore, they deported Jaun too.

Racism is disease that destroys the social contract and destabilizes civilizations. The "illegal immigrant" issue remains a racist one as long as American employers and business owners who illegally invite and hire undocumented foreign nationals are not arrested and prosecuted. This remains a racist issue as long as American employers and businesses withhold Social Security and taxes from undocumented workers' pay and then keep it for themselves all the while pumping up the lowest common denominators among us to thinking that undocumented workers "cost" American taxpayers anything. It remains a racist issue as long as NAFTA is in full-swing and huge concentrations of wealth are occurring on both sides of the border at the expense of Mexican and U.S. working class to the tune of 20% less job opportunities and while lasting contracts and laws are being made against the working classes in both nations to protect the outsourcing of labor and to give our jobs away to other nations. If working class people in both the U.S. and Mexico do not unite and defend themselves against the true threat against their way of life very soon, we are all here in the Americas going to be the cheap, uneducated "outsourced" labor of the near future.

As legal Americans we pay taxes, vote, have a more active interest in our township (neighborhoods or the country). Illegal immigrants show to want the benefits of our country without having the responsibilities that the rest of us (legal citizen Americans) choose to take on. Illegal immigrants reside in our country, basking in the benefits of our freedoms and lifestyle, benefit from the choices we make through voting and reap the benefits of clean water, trees groomed, smooth roadways built, beautiful parks, safety protection, public schools, etc, etc. . . .that we legal citizens pay for with our tax money. If a person wants to reside in America, than pay the fee to join the club...namely...become a legal citizen. More...to say...but will leave this as enough expressed as is in relation to your question.

i'm not for illegal immigrants i'm for everyone being treated in a just and humane manner. I mean even criminals get treated better than some people do. and i doubt that makes me a bleeding heart, and if that were the case than i guess the anti's would be considered not bleeding hearts but cold hearted or lacking a heart. its sad when i see people on here show more compassion for animals than they do for people being treated worse than animals.

I agree. I think I have the solution to the problem. I heard someone say once the surest way to get something made illegal is to take it to the extreme.
I say we close I.N.S. (la Migra for you illegals) and allow everyone in! Once all the jobs have been taken by the new immigrants (remember they will work for less than half of what the whites will) and the welfare system is overloaded, we wont have to debate about the issue, 100% of AMERICANs will vote in favor of closing the borders and throwing the bastards out!
