I dont think there's anything wrong with it, but... it's just not the norm and not as "romantic" i guess.

I don't see anything wrong with a girl making the first move or any move. There is no rule book stating only guys can ask the girls out. Those people that think that are closed minded people who are living in the past. This day and age lots of girls ask guys out. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it.

It only seems weird because people have issues with change. Traditionally of course, guys always asked girls out. But I think by today's standards, it's completely fine for a girl to ask a guy out. I think it would be awkward if I asked a guy out and then tried to pay for the whole date. Nowadays, most couples split the dinner bill anyways, so I don't think a girl would be obligated to pay for the date even if she asked the guy out.

The concept is rediculous.

Setting ground rules on how people should behave in order for you to like them.. BAH!

Only Dads earn money.
Only Moms clean house.
Only Men should initiate dates.

The concept is archaic.

BUT... does that mean all guys will be receptive? No. But then why would you want to date a guy who would say no or write you off simply because you asked them out? How deep can that person possibly be?

Good luck, live your life, and please don't fall victim to society's "Lemming Complex". Be yourself!

Things have changed since your parents were dating, Now days it is perfectly fine for a woman to suggest a date, Lets be real about this for a moment! 98% of first kisses are initiated by the woman, as they know what they want at an earlier age than men!
Here is my advice! Listen to your heart! and go from there! Who cares what anyone else thinks, were talking about "Your life here! Good Luck!

There is definitely nothing wrong with that! Guys love when the girl makes the first move. I ended up not making the first move with my boyfriend, mainly out of shyness, but I made pre-first moves that got us closer. But go for it!

no, it just means that the girl is willing to ask the man out before he does it. I mean, sometimes, they both get up the courage to ask the other person out at the same time... I see nothing wrong with it... but, be careful when it comes to the person you want to ask out.

if a girl asks a guy out it could be that she is just confident and comfortable enough (or wants that person that bad--girl without confidence is probably desperate) its not anything wrong with it ---girls are just more emotional so being denied is not something we want to experience so we just say that its the guy's job to do it plus to us if the guy asks us out first than that means he truely must like you b/c sumtimes we have a hard time really knowing if a guy really does like us b/c they express less emotions than us girls so it can be hard to tell

If this helped please pick as "best answer" it will give both me and u points! thanks!

No it isn't desperate. Guys love it when girls ask them out. They'll see that the girl is willing to take a chance to get what she wants.
