I added this girl on myspace and asked a simple question like "how are you?" and she's like "WHO ARE YOU? I DONT EVEN KNOW YOU!!!"....wtf? look at me trying to be nice and trying to get to know someone and she has the nerve to say something like that? i know its true but still you know? why are people like this?

All i can say is most people add people as friends as a popularity contest. She probablly asked for a bunch of people to add her as a friend , not actually wanting to be friends just to have a high number, immature i know. So she doesn't remember adding you. Just delete her

They just are - the "why" is different for each and every person. We can never truly know what hurts or experiences in a person's life might motivate them to be defensive, or even cruel. There is no fixing them. They must find their own truth and fix themselves.
What matters is how you respond. Every minute you spend in this life giving any more attention to people like that and their actions is a minute you can never get back. Learn how to hit the "Delete" button; not just on MySpace, but in life as well.
There will always be cruel people like the one you just described, but the good news is that there will always be kindhearted people like yourself who hopefully help bring balance to the world.

Hey man, not all people are like this.
Just look at it this way: she is obviously a b**tch and seems unfriendly and lacks manners. So, in turn, do you really want to know someone who is like that?
Don't give her a second thought and keep meeting people who are better than her dumbass.
Politeness should be something that should be exercised always. So what if you don't know the person, why come off as a massive b**tch? Is that who you want as a friend, let alone as a love interest?
Move on, my friend. There is way better out there.

well, some people on myspace are connected with their friends through there. Normally, when people randomly pop in saying something like that, they freak out. There are people on myspace that aren't too safe to be around

Probably just plain fear maybe. Which actually is good for a female to be more watch ful. Hope you sorta understand that? I would of just replied with, "Hey, no need to get nasty, I just asked a question! It's just the Internet has so may predators on it now, it's sick!! But it does ruin it for the good people.

when someone I don't know says hello I always respond with a hello and I am sorry I don't recognize the name . but I never get ignorant about it. some people just have no class..
