The book needs to talk about the similar healings and miracles done between Jesus and Elijah, or Elisha - because the spirit was in him, talk about John the baptist and their relation, and how Elijah is related to the passover, or last supper. Thx.

For the half brainers, the Bible is an obvious...and I said book. Not books. The Bible is actually many books...Library of books if you will.

I think the best book to answer your questions about Elijah is the Holy Bible, but there may be something else in print [or even out of print] about him, a good source might be Amazon or another bookseller online, perhaps you can also try google for what you are looking for. I just think The Holy Bible is your best shot.

Hi!

I don't know of any book comparing the ministries of elijah/ elisha and john the baptist/jesus. But I believe that it is a good topic to study and consider.

Certainly the Elijah/John the Baptist comparison is easy to identify but I believe the Elisha/Jesus comparison isn't taught as it should be.

There are many similarities between the ministry of Elisha and Jesus.

hope you find something!

God bless!!

Actually, you might look into Alfred Edersheim's "The Life and times of Jesus the Messiah" as he gives a great deal of Jewish heritage/history background to the gospel accounts.

I have a book in Africaans about Elijahs return. If you put Elijahs return into your computer, you might come up with some thing you are looking for. By the way: I dream that Elijah is back. He is in his 50's,jewish, lives in California and I deam he was also Santa Claus and John the Baptist. Well Jesus did say that John was Elijah and that he would return to restore all things...(Matthew 11/11,17/11), yet the christians are still arguing that reincarnation is not biblical. Maybe they should read Matthew and stop talking about things they dont really know about...Jesus said reincarnation is real and whom are we to argue about that...

1st and 2nd Kings in the Old Testament tell the story of Elijah and Elisha (different men) and Matthew, Mark, Luke and John in the New Testament tell the story of Jesus. It's better to read the original than someones opinion of the original. It might help to know that there are 4 gospels because they are from different perspectives - Matthew - government employee, Mark - historian, Luke - doctor, John - preacher (and Jesus' best friend).

Try enquiring at Wheaton College Library. They have an extensive collection of 1900-1950 Theologians which will probably answer your questions. I think Dr. Charles Spurgeon had one published around 1935 called Days of Elijah.
