hey I agree with your friends you need to leave it don't sound like a healthy relationship....I kinda know how that is I have been their before. I am going throught a divorce right now but when me and my ex was together he did stuff that scared me.When we met I was shy would not say much and stand beside him and tag along like a puppy because I was in love with him but things stated to change, he was nenver physical abusive to me but was starting to be virble.When I started to get out of my shyness and started taken up for myself,he would always say he like it but when I was standing up to him he hated it(I could tell by the way he acted).But when i threaten to leave he would always say he wouldn't have any reason to leave for and try to kill his self in front of me but it was just mind games to keep with him....well I left twice before and this last time was the third and I made sure that i wasn't going back but I was scared of what he was going to do but I became unhappy and didn't love like I did cause of what I was going through, I became depressed and sick all the time so I ask for the strength to leave and when out of the blue he asked if I was happy or not I just told him and said I was leaving and went smoothe enough for me to leave. But don't do what I did and get married because I thought it would get better it won't it just gets worst.So I pray you have the strength to leave and do it for your self and your health.....and remember your friends will always be there when you need them I know cause mine have help me a bunch.
