I'm just learning how to skateboard. I'm having trouble staying on my board. Any suggestions? Also, I'm a girl.

Find which way you stand - with your left foot in front or right foot in front. (Left in front is called regular while right in front is called goofy.) But you back foot on the end of the tail and your front kind of on or behind or in the middle of the board. Once you can ride ask a question on how to jump, which is called an ollie.

Go slowly and stay on level surface while wearing lots of the proper padding until you can maintain your balance while doing simple maneuvers.

yeah, pretty much just hop on your board and just practice. Practice makes perfect.
