in an ideal world you would have asked him there and then in the heat of the moment ....what do you mean by get a new bf who is my old one ? why and then the conversation would have been broadened..... and you wouldnt be asking this question we all do things and then after think orrr i should have done it that way or i shoukd have said this..but you didnt so so now its stressing you out well if i was you the next time i have a chat i would bring it up and simply say this............ you know what you said about getting a new bf well its been playing on my mind a little and i just want to know what you ment and then let him tell you and then work it out from there hope i helped :)

Just talk to him about it because if you don't the worry will only get worse and that could end the friendship in a bad way if he is a nice person he will understand and talk about it calmly but if he gets nasty and funny about it he is not worth your friendship that's how i would approach it i hope this helps

It will be a big be hypocrisy if someone will waste their time talking with you for long hours and say, “Oh, I just wanna be your friend and I’m here to help…”

That’s a lot of bull.

People give time to someone they like and at the back of their mind is a question “Is it possible that she is the one?”

So under these premise, the guy likes you and thinks maybe you could have something more.

He broke social norms. Others tend to isolate people who break social norms. They group those rule breakers right into a undeniable group. That group is then in many circumstances omitted and get teased. I had a guy in my music direction (coincidence) that enjoyed music and he could communicate random matters and communicate extra advantageous than he had to to our professor. Our professor did not concepts it. i think of he even liked most of the conversations. yet everyone in our type regarded at him like, huh? some human beings gave him the recommend stare.

nothing worse than that for a guy... to approach a girl in a attractive sort of way and then find out she only thinks of you 'as a friend' or 'as a brother'... ouch!

yeah, he probably likes you, and in all fairness you've probably been sending him signals through your friendship that he's been misinterpreting...

you got to let him know gently where the land lies... tactics are more than just a breath mint... plan it well... and all will be good in the world again.

I think you're reading too much into it. Maybe he really does want U to get a new bf. Just concerned for your well-being. Did you ever think of that. Like I said, you may be reading too much into it. Hope this helps.

Tell him that you only considered him as a friend to begin with & ask "what does he mean get a new boyfriend?" Tell him you NEVER thought he WAS your boyfriend....only a good friend to talk with....wonder what he'll say?

Hope it works out for you! If not, he was NO friend to begin with & you are better off without him at all!!

Why do women think that men just want to be friends? Men can be friends only after a relationship but right now he just wants to bed you. You can be sure of it.

mixed signals but i think he means he wants your relationship to become more than just friends. my advice let it go and either give it a try or forget about him as a friend. men and women cannot be friends, you've discovered why.
