it all depends on the placement of the tattoo. my foot had stopped peeling after 14 days but it still itched for another week. it's all different for everybody but as long as there is itching you should keep putting lotion.

It has to heal first. You have to treat it just like an open would. Do not use vaseline it will the colors to fade. Try to use Tattoo Goo which is green. It will scab over and do not pick at it. Do not shave it and try not to itch it. Depending on the size of the tat it will generally take at least 2 1/2 or a month to heal fully. Do not pick at it. Do not lay in a tanning bed or get in direct sunlight. It will cause it to fade quickly. If you get in a tanning bed wait a couple of months and remember to cover it up.

The more you keep the tattoo moist, the less it will itch. I have five tattoos and some itched and some did not,but I found that keeping A&D ointment on it heals it faster.

Mine itched about a week. DO NOT itch it, the less you have flake off the better your overall color will stay. Keep it moist that helps with the itching.

it's not a set time, it has to do with how you heal. your body treats a tattoo like a wound, it scabs over then the scab falls off.
Use the A&D cream in the beginning to keep it moist. Don't pick at it, don't submerge it in water, don't expose it to the sun.

two weeks tops, just keep rubbing that ointment in to relieve it as your skin peals otherwise. the more you moisturise it the quicker it stops itching dude. I got GOURANGA on my arm. haha.

It's been my experience (I have three) that they stop itching within two weeks...

mine itched for about a week then it was perfectly fine after that! its pretty big too!
