Pyelonephritis during Pregnancy can be dangerous, simply because the immune system is supressed a bit. When infection hits a pregnant woman, it hits hard, and the symptoms come on quite strongly.

No, the kidney infection won't cause an Ectopic Pregnancy, but it can send you in to pre-term labor. (Labor prior to 37 weeks). You need to take the medications and fight the infection. Drink lots of water. Cranberry juice may be beneficial, as long as you don't have a history of diabetes, or gestational diabetes. The goal here is to get better..you've seen your doc. You are too early in your pregnancy to worry bunches, chances are, the infection has been brewing for a few weeks now, anyhow.

You should take care of the kidney infection with an antibiotic safe for pregnant women because you don't want the infection spreading. I also have a slight one but am on antibiotics. But your kidneys and fallopian tubes(where an ectopic pg would occur) are 2 totally different areas. As for miscarriage, I don't think that a treated kidney infection would cause it. An untreated one may if your fever was very high. Good luck and try to relax and enjoy. You get to start throwing up soon.

hi im 17 weeks, at the same time as i replaced into 10 weeks i had realy undesirable flu and replaced into in mattress for days, and a pair of weeks in the past i had a foul chest an infection which needed the utmost dose of antibiotics and as i replaced into getting extra valuable from that i then were given a sinus an infection!! i was still recovering from a kidney infection when i got pregnant and my daughter was born and perfectically healthy although i didnt av such i good pregnancy i was always sleeping and being sick and suffered from water infections and not enough iron due to my immune system bein low although this did not effect my baby in the slightest. just make sure u do everything else sleep eat etc and attend your appointments and see a doc bout antibiotics or sumit 4 the infection i dont see you av a problem i also had a friend who got a

get to the doctor. Until you get to one, drink cranberry juice and water. infections will weaken your system, your body needs to be healthy so the baby will have a healthy place to grow, so you need to take care of this.
