I am looking for a job that I could train to do starting early next year, something in the caring profession. You need to be 18 to train to be a paramedic.

My wife started nursing at 16 as a cadet nurse. I think they call them care assistants now. Then when she was 18 she started her nurse training with two years experience behind her

keep away from nursing homes (some are very good but some are awful and you want your first experience to be positive). go to your local care of the elderly hospital and get a job as a nursing assistant or join there nurse bank... in a year you will be old enough to do your training and that gives you plenty time to decide if you like it and some invaluable experience.

I think they still call them cadets, though I think at 17 and a half you can start training to be a nurse
