If you are losing a job due to an illegal alien then maybe you need to get yourself an education. I'm sorry that you were turned down a job at McDonald's due to some illegal but really lets look at reality. You are a US citizen, you get medical, you can apply for welfare and financial aid so now tell me why you are disappointed that someone did not hire you to work at some fast food restaurant. Really the only people I have found are so against illegal aliens are the uneducated or the plain old racists.
When are people going to realize that if you ask any immigrant why they came to this country it isn't because they wanted to come and have 10,000 and one kids and live off of welfare. Hey I was born in this country but if this country could not give my family what it needs to simply survive I would be looking for something better in a heart beat. Whole families move from state to state looking for a good place to raise their children and give themselves and their families an opportunity for a better life. Wouldn't you? How about from country to country? And the answer is "No," right? "because its illegal and who cares if my kids don't have a future at least I'm going to do the legal thing" or "YES but I would look for legal means." Unfortanetly there are no legal ways when you are a poor person from Latin America (and Mexico is not the only Latin American country!!!). Visas are for rich people only. Those who have properties and good positions in established companies not for the ones who really need it. So before you start opening your mouth shouting out numbers that are filled with biases and prejudism do your own research. Thats what being an educated person is all about and then maybe you'll stop looking for a job as a field worker. It is very unlikely that an illegal will take your job if you are a RN, doctor, teacher, social worker, public relations officer, engineer, etc, etc.

It's not just about lost jobs or wages. Illegal immigrants take the jobs that pay next to nothing that no one in America wants to do. Is this a sad state of affairs? Yes, it is because there are enough people without jobs or on welfare in this country that we should be able to fill these jobs. However, that is a whole argument in and of itself. What is lost is the thousands, if not millions of taxpayer dollars in healthcare, prison, and education costs. I realize that there are millions of illegal immigrants here in this country who came here to seek a better life and work hard to do it. And to the people who say they should become citizens then, do you know how much it costs to just take the citizenship test? It costs $99.95 plus however much INS fees cost just to take the quiz to see if you are eligible. That may not seem like alot to most people, but to them it is a lot. These are the people we should be giving amnesty to. The illegals we should be worrying about are the ones that come here looking for a free ride or that come here to spread their drug/criminal empire.

Obviously; you do not know real facts.
Real facts.
It is against the law to hire an illegal.
Yes, that is why people hire illegals cuz it is cheaper. Cheaper labor brings down the cost. When you bring down the cost, eventually your labor cost around will drop just to keep up with the demands.
If illegals were not sneaking over then we wouldn't have a problem.
as for KSwill to her question
thousands of people who workers in the trades like carpenter are loosing there jobs and yes they are being turn down and having illegals taking there spots.

I have never lost a job to an illegal alien. They would need some darn good fake documents to work at my company. That being said... If criminals( illegal aliens) are allowed to be here, breaking laws, not paying taxes and living off of taxpayers.. and some think that is okay.. I would say I lost nothing, but gained disgust in that injustice to Americans..

I ignored your other question, but if you insist: The jobs I lost to illegal aliens were the ones that were already taken when I applied. It is extremely difficult to get a job in a place where mostly illegals work unless you know someone important in the company.
Friend, I truly wish I were making it up.

Yes, I did. They decided to take the jobs we had and sub-contract them out and that person only hired illegals so he didn't have to pay the same wages or offer any benefits or overtime. Alot of people lost their jobs that round and many had been doing it for years. What hot job was that? Chicken farm. Pulling out dead chickens and repairing the belts etc. Who was doing these jobs? Good ole white folks. There's not that many glamour places to work in rural Nebraska.
Now the problem is increasingly too many jobs I want and can do are requiring Spanish. I am bi-lingual. I just don't speak Spanish.
I have an education but unfortunatly there weren't jobs in my field so I had to do what was available to live. Trust me it wasn't on my top 10 list but I needed the work. Many did this job as well as running their farms. I just moved. They're struggling to save their farm and land. Alot of kids did that work to earn money for college since it's not a free ride for everyone.

Illegal immigration is a crime. Aiding and abetting illegal aliens entering the country is also a crime. Repeated illegal entry into the United States is a felony. Read and study the law on this issue, and encourage people to follow it. It's 20 years overdue to be enforced, the '86 amnesty has obviously set things in motion that are less-than positive, here, you're advocating for people to break the law, I don't know if that qualifies as abetting,, but there's something to be said for reconsidering that position, in my view. Whether you like it or not, 'report and deport' is the correct answer on this issue. Actually sit down, and research it for yourself. Americans support legal immigration, not illegal immigration. What we have now is a mess, and it'll continue to be a mess as long as people keep shading the law.
Speaking of the law, here it is, in black and white. Again, research it for yourself...
Section 274 felonies under the federal Immigration and Nationality Act, INA 274A(a)(1)(A):
A person (including a group of persons, business, organization, or local government) commits a federal felony when she or he:
assists an illegal alien s/he should reasonably know is illegally in the U.S. or who lacks employment authorization, by transporting, sheltering, or assisting him or her to obtain employment, or
encourages that illegal alien to remain in the U.S. by referring him or her to an employer or by acting as employer or agent for an employer in any way, or
knowingly assists illegal aliens due to personal convictions.

4.9 million Mexican children of illegal parents collect welfare from the USA. Until they are 18. So, every person in the US pays for that. And the US is the only country in the world that lets the children of illegal immigrants claim legal citizen status.
