I love Borat, but if I had a 10-year-old son I would leave him at home. It's rare that I would say this, but Borat really isn't appropriate for anyone under 18.

He'd love it but it IS a little messed up. If you let him go just be aware of what you may be getting into as a parent. Talk with the kid bout how certain things were faked or people were tricked to make the movie with Borat if the child gets to possessed by the watching of the movie because its like yeah its funny but its also fake too.
I have not seen the whole movie yet.

I would say definently not! I saw the movie and loved it. There is alot of male nudity in the movie, and I dont think a 10 year old should see it. I didnt know there was going to be alot of nudity and the thought of taking my 5 year old crossed my mind. Then I thought, what am I thinking? Hes 5. I saw a kid in there about 8 years old, and felt sorry for the dad, because I bet he didnt realize what all was going to be on the movie.

Borat is not okay for ANYONE who still has a functioning brain, let alone a ten-year old.
It is the only movie within the past ten years that I have walked out on.

I thought Borat was rated R? DEFINITELY not appropriate for a 10-year-old. my 16-year-old and 19-year-old sisters saw it and i wanted to see it with them but they said i wasnt old enough (i'm 13).
my 16-year-old sister said there was a lot of racism and sexual humor in it

Borat is absolutely brilliant because the actor simply allows people to show the world how thick and bigoted they really are. Americans often don't get the joke because they find it difficult to laugh at themselves. I think it is practically essential viewing for adults but not for children.

No. It is hillarious for adults, but as was already stated, it's not appropriate for anyone under 18. There are a couple of scenes during which, I believe, they would be offended. I'd say it's best to not take young children with you to see it.

Well, I'm glad you're researching this before taking him to go see it. (gosh, I saw someone bring a baby to SAW III back in October!). According to what I've read about it, I do NOT believe it is appropriate for a 10 year old.

I believe it is rated R I would not allow a 10 year old to see that, it is entirely up to you, but personally I would not.

I HAVE seen the movie, and no it is definitely NOT appropriate for a 10 year old.
Do you want your son to see a guy having another guy's balls rubbed in his face?
