Hi i know this is such a stupid question but need to know. I have been on pill now for 4 years. When i have the 7 day gap, i get confused as to when i start the next pack. For example if i finish a pack on a thursay, would i start the next pack on the following thurs or the fri??? Please reply if ya know. xxx

If you have the last pill on a Thursday then a full seven days later you take the first pill of a new pack on the following Friday.
(I.E. Thursday = last pill
Friday = day 1
Saturday = day 2
Sunday = day 3
Monday = day 4
Tuesday = day 5
Wednesday = day 6
Thursday = day 7
Friday = Pill 1 of new pack)

If you finish your pack on Thursday, you start your new pack on Friday. Since you are so confused about this still, you should ask your doctor for a prescription of the same brand, but the 28 day version. This way you won't have any breaks from pills. You will have 7 reminder/placebo pills instead.

I'd say whatever you've been doing for the last 4 years has obviously worked if you haven't got pregnant! I've just gone back on the pill after a year off, taken it for a month, finished the pack - and now I can't remember which day I finished on!

You'd start new pack on the friday,that gives you 7 full pill free days.

hi ive asked the same question before its not stupid if you finnish you pack on the thursday you should start the next pack on the friday hope this helps

The day you take your last pill eg Monday count 7 days (Tues,Weds,Thurs,Frid,Sat,Sun, Mon) = 7 pill-free days so you start your next packet on the tuesday. Ok?

mine finishes on a thursday and starts again on a friday.
