correct.
basically what the people praying are asking is for god to change his divine plan. since the plan is supposed to be set in stone its not possible.
so you christians: stop praying. it does squat!
the same applies fro those who go to heaven and hell. apparently those who are going to heaven have their names in the book of life or something. the book has already been written. so no matter how much you pray you still might not get into heaven. even if youre a good little christian....you still might be destined for hell.

God does not have a divine plan for everyone. This is a common belief but it is an erroneous one. God has a purpose, yes. And He has divine will, yes. But He does not have a divine plan for every single individual. That would, patently, interfere with free will, would it not? To illustrate, God's will is that this earth be inhabited by perfect humans who live in lasting happiness eternally. If individuals do not want that for themselves, they will not avail themselves of such and, hence, will not be here. Those who desire this for themselves, however, will put forth the effort to gain God's approval so that they can. Toward this end, they will learn of God's standards, try to apply them, benefit from the ransom sacrifice of Jesus and pray for help in this regard. They also pray for God's will to take place here on earth as it does in the heavens. Thus, people pray the Lord's prayer. So, while God's will and purpose will take place, it is not forced on individuals. He does not plan out everyone's life. Hope that helps you out a bit. Hannah J Paul

Yes God has a Divine plan for everyone. No prayer would not be useless because prayer is the way to get to the throne of God!!! If you cut out prayer then you basically cut off your relationship with God because that is how you communicate with Him.

Prayer wouldn't be useless. God does have a plan for everyone but you will get those things in life only if you pray for them.

If God prederminded that you were to be wealthy wouldnt you want to make a withdrawal ? God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places, prayer allows us to acess the supernatural and translate it into the natural, however God will never negate your freedom of choice and even in our rejection of His divine plan He has still planned our eternal destiny both good and bad.

I disagaree. Prayer is not about Him, its about us. About reminding ourselves that hey, we're not the head honchos on this little planet we call home, that there are things much greater than all of us. A sort of humble reminder when practiced in its true form.
Thus, prayer is functional not in changing that Divine Plan, but in reminding ourselves of our relationship with God. When we ask for something, we saying "Hey, I need help. I'm not strong enough to do this on my own. So I admit that there is something bigger than me that will help me in my life".
But to all you atheists out there, my entire concept of prayer is based on people haviing faith in God. And of course, that people's egos aren't too big to blind them to Him.

God's plan is that all would come to repentance and receive salvation. Sadly many don't want God's salvation. Thus separating themselves from God's divine plan.

God does not have a plan for us.
We each have a plan that we decided before we came back for this life.
I hope that I have followed my plan and I am accomplishing that which I came here to learn.

Yes, if someone prays they are either asking God to change his plans or asking him to do what he was going to do anyway. Either way, it's useless.
Of course, it is already useless because of the lack of any gods.
