I believe there are people who have had a spiritual experience who brought them to the God of their understanding, and there are those who haven't. Some who haven't just go to church and say they believe because it's the polite thing to do. Others who practice their religion (any religion) do it because they've had a personal experience that they can't prove to no one but themselves. They can't prove it to a non-believer any more than a non-believer can prove to them that the believer's experience was B.S.
So it's a draw.

Back when Jews were a tribe, they carried
god in a box on two poles. They called this
box an Ark or Covenant. When they fought
opposing tribes, this god was on their side.
The story goes that if any man touched the
Ark, he would die instantly. And, scriptures
claim this did happen on one occasion. The
box was about to fall. A Jew grabbed the
sliding Ark, and died on the spot.
One night, an enemy tribe stole the Ark to
have god on their side. They touched the
box. Poked the box. Opened the box.
Nothing happened. No one died.
Conclusion? The only power any superstition
holds, is our belief in it.
Today, people still seek to put God in a box.
Religions put God in a designated temple.
Atheists confine God to a box by declaring
there is no God.
Still, life continues to bloom like so many
roses amid the thorns. Invisible forces
govern complex genetics from the tiny flea
to the giant star. And God remains the
promise of tomorrow. A day we have never
seen before. And that promise extends to all,
the believer and the non-believer alike.
Such is Utopia.

How do you know what real is, huh? Are you real? You're not real to me, you're just words on a screen. How do I know you even exist? This entire world could just be my own hallucination. So what?
God might be a bit harder to grasp than this tangible world, but be careful what you say is "real". To some, God may exist, but that doesn't make him more real than the words on the computer screen in front of you. You need to take that leap of faith to get anything out of it. If you don't believe I'm real, then please proceed to ignore this diatrabe. Otherwise, know that you have the same faith that is required to believe in GOd.

The word "know" is funny. It can refer to scientific theory or fact, or to a belief.
We know the sun because we see it. We know it is there, just asked someone.
But what about God?
God is not a scientific theory or fact, we can not observe it like to sun. Then how do we know about God? Prophets.
There are three main of prophets in western religions: Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad. God told Moses his name (Holy Scriptures), God resurrected Jesus from the dead (New Testament), and God told Muhammad how to bring people to the one God (Qur'an).
You can belief none, one, two, or all three. But you will not observe God, you will hear only his words as spoken to by prophets.
So how to you know God is real? You don't in the scientific sense; in fact, God is beyond our science. Why? According to the prophets, God existed before he created everything we can observe, all our theories and facts. So Science is no help in determining if God is real.
So what about the words of the prophets. Not one has reveal that God is real, they all assume it.
So now it is about words, words collected in collections of books: Holy Scripture for Jews; The Christian bible for Christians; and the Qur'an for Muslims.
If you want to find God, you must listen to his prophets. For me personally, that is found in the Christian bible.

We believe in God even though we don't see him, just look at everything around you. you didn't exist by chance, who creates you? why all human beings have two eyes, a nose, mouth? why all people have one heart?who create the sky, the earth, the moon, the sun, the plants, the planets, the viruses, etc we can't count. Just behold the surroundings and you will figure out by yourself.

only you can know for yourself. God can be experienced, not proven.
also it depends what you define as God. if you think God is a man in a white robe passing judgement on people, good luck experiencing that.
but, if you believe that God is the formless Loving energy that creates all of life- then-
the existance of God is self-evident
just look around

No one knows. Thats the point of religion. Faith. To have faith in something that might or might not be there. No one can know until they die, and by then they cant tell anyone. Thats why no one knows. Faith.

We don't. But then atheists don't know if God isn't real either: They're both faith positions.
