Tacos. You can set up a buffet with hard or soft shells, the meat and lettuce, tomatoes, onions, black olives, shredded cheese, taco sauce sour cream and a big pot of white rice. They can dress the rice up with cheese and taco sauce if necessary.
If you don't want to go all homemade Stouffers has some pretty good frozen family size entrees such as lasagna or chicken Alfredo. You could make them along with a salad with choice of dressings and some garlic bread or just some dinner rolls, make some boxed brownies for dessert. They make all kinds of brownie mixes now including turtle brownies or with M&M's.

Ham (around $8 for one big enough to feed four people), green bean casserole ($5 or less for green beans, mushroom soup, and Durkee onions), bread sticks ($2 in the biscuit section of the store), and a Pepperidge Farm chocolate cake from the freezer section ($5 or less.)
If you hit a good sale or two on the canned goods, add some pineapple rings for garnishing the ham. Glaze it with a mix of brown sugar, some of the juice from the pineapple, and a little mustard. If you've really done a good job of saving money, get a small carton of cottage cheese and serve it over the rest of the pineapple rings as a fruit salad!
A good basic dinner that covers most of the food groups, is filling, and tastes delicious. It's hard to go wrong with this menu!

Home made pizza is cheap, delicious and ever so versatile! For $20 you could feed many more than four people and they will remember it forever! For 1# of dough take 3 cups flour and add 3/4 tsp. salt. Put 1 cup of water in the microwave for 20 seconds (warm, but not very) to the water add 1 packet of dry yeast or 2 tsp. if you have a large jar. Add 1 tsp sugar to this water mixture and stir well. To check if your yeast is active, walk away for a minute and you will see tiny bubbles on the top of the water...that means good yeast (yeah!) Add the yeast, sugar water to the flour, salt mix and stir and then work with hands till soft, not sticky, and makes a ball...add flour or water (if it's wet or dry) 1 tsp at a time at this stage....when it feels soft and good and doesn't stick to your hands, roll it on the pan! You have just made one pizza shell!! Make as many as you like or do a bigger batch with multiples of this recipe and feed the neighborhood!
Pepperoni...always put it between triple layers of paper towels and microwave for a minute or two and get all of that fat out of it before putting it on the pizza.
Veggies...saute each one separately adding a little salt, pepper and garlic to each batch. Sprinkle then on after sauted and watch your friends enjoy!
Cheese? I use Kraft 2% wrapped singles...hot pepper cheese is great!
Sauce for pizza...
1 large can tomatoes, 1 Tbsp sugar,1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp pepper, 1 small can tomato paste. garlic, either 1tsp. garlic powder (not garlic salt!) or 2 cloves fresh garlic . Enjoy!
Bake pizza at 425 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes...

Chicken, chicken, chicken! You can get two or three 5lb bags of party wings and some wing sauce and have a great time. Fry the wings good, and dip them in the sauce, lay them on a cookie sheet and let them caramelize in the oven at a 350 degree temp for about 20 minutes, and you have chicken voila! Or, if you aren't good at frying them, bake them in the oven at the same temp, add the wing sauce and seasonings.

1 &2: Meatballs either sweet and sour over rice or meatballs stroganoff over noodles. Green salad, peas and carrots and ice cream w topping for dessert. All for less than 20.00-I know!
3. Meatloaf, baked potatoes and a salad is also a good one.
4,.Casual? Well, how about just a potato bar. The toppings can get expensive, but if you are careful you can do it. Cheese, chili, peas, sour cream, chives, tomatoes --you can go on and on until you are out on dollars! Let us know what you pick!

Pasta is always a cheap, healthy, filling, scrumptious food to go for. You can go with the original red tomato sauce and spruce it up a little with basil, or maybe put you culinary skills to work with some alfredo sauce! Its not that hard, you can make a good one using 1) cream 2) parm. cheese 3) salt & pepper 4) and a hint of chili powder if your feeling wild.
Another choice you could go for is Pizza. Its always cheap, and good.
You could always go the ultra healthy route and make a huge salad! Lettace, carrots, cucmber, bell pepers, and your favorite dressing!

can't go wrong with a yummy veggie pizza. Buy a premade crust, cheese, some fresh veggies and make a quick pesto for the sauce. It's super cheap and easy to make and always tastes good.

CHICKEN MARSALA - In first frying pan, Cut boneless chicken into chunks or strips, coat with flour and cook in butter until all sides just start to brown, set aside. In second frying pan, melt butter and add fresh sliced mushrooms (lots) and cook until they just start to soften, add generous amount of Marsala wine and a couple of finely diced garlic cloves and cook for three minutes. Add chicken from first pan and cook until sauce thickens (flour from chicken will thicken sauce), Add a small spritz more Marsala wine ( to refresh Marsala wine flavor) and serve immediately. You will have plenty left over for veggies and baked potatoes.
