Dear righteous,

I do not know how to put this but the church age ended in 1988. The Holy Spirit departed from ALL local churches and congregations and so it is IMPOSSIBLE for anyone to become saved, regardless of the accuracy of the preaching. You can read this in 2 Thessalonians 2. The "man of sin" (satan) has taken his seat in the holy place (churches) and is now ruling there. That is why we read in Matthew 24:15, 16 when you see the abomination of desolation (satan) standing in the holy place, let them in Judaea (representation of the kingdom of God) flee to the mountains (Psalms 121). The mountain is parabolic language for Jehovah God or the Lord Jesus Christ. As you continue to 2 Thessalonians 2 you will find that those who remain there will be sent a strong delusion that they may be damned. We read in Revelation 18 beginning in verse 4 that God is commanding the true believers to get out of the local churches which have become Babylon. Babylon pictures satans kingdom. Please see the references I've noted.
From everything we read in the Bible to this point, it appears that Christ will return in 2011 which mark the end of the world and Judgement Day.

Today was totally awesome. He started a series on the glory of GOD two weeks ago.

Because of unbelief the Israelite nation could not enter the promised land. They died in the wilderness. . .

Many Christians today are of the same mindset.

Christ has set us free from sin, but we still choose to live like the devil.

As a follower of CHRIST, how many of us have stated we believe that Jesus is the Son of GOD who died and rose again as the Lamb of GOD to take away our sin. We often refer to ourselves as believers, however, in our hearts, we are not really looking for His return, we are looking only for His Blessing without spending time in His presence seeking intimacy with Him which is the door way to His Glory.

The end result will be if we are not wise, being left behind while the believers whose lives are showing forth obedience are caught up to be with the LORD on the day He returns for His Bride.

It was powerful.

OK, I wasn't there this morning because I had a migraine and I had to sleep it off. But I saw the sign outside church when I went to a meeting there in the afternoon and it was about being alone during the holidays (I'm assuming it was about maybe being more involved in activities or dealing with grief or something like that.)

I'm sure it was a good sermon--lots of people have trouble during the holidays with feeling alone, even when they're around a lot of other people. Lots of noise and not much substance, I guess. Plus, it reminds you of holidays from the past and you think about people who are no longer with you. So I guess he was talking about ways to deal with that.

Why can't catholics just call it a message? Most catholics aren't there for the message, they think if they show up it's credited to them by God. It amazes me how many show up late and leave early. God forbid a message ever addressed commitment to the Word. Is your question to see if anyone listened ? Good luck.

Turning your problems over to God. Sometimes we feel bad because we can't give answers for the problems of life, so give them to God. Because He is our strength and our fortess. Amen
