Lots of my buddies are in the Marine Corps. They joined up right out of High School, and many of them today are Staff Sgt's and above, And the highest rank Marine Corps guy I know is a Colonel and serving in Iraq right now. They are pretty hard core guys, can't lie about that.

I have a very close friend just like a little brother he is in the Marines, and has been to Iraq twice I believe or maybe he was deployed twice but only once to Iraq.

i have a 19 year old friend in Iraq now, too. Suprisingly, he is online all the time, on myspace, etc. I am so glad we are able to communicate with him so easily.

My nephew is there now, he got hit my an IED last week, he will recover, blew out an eardrum and some shrapnel to the face.
