If you're looking for portability, I would go with NY style pizza. You can fold it in half and eat it while doing other things.

If you have the time and the place to sit, with utensils, then I would go with Chicago style deep dish.

Pizza is pizza, and they're both delicious

NY style is the best and no the crust does not have to be razor thin. The problem is all the fast food chains have brainwashed most people including a lot of yahoo answer'ers to believe that fat crust loaded with junk is better then NY style pizza which originated in sicily italy. Very Sad!!!! get a slice of life and order a taste of Italy: NY Pizza

Deep dish. I grew up exterior NYC the place skinny is slightly mroe easy. Then moved to CHicago and fell in love with actual deep dish. Now I stay in San Fran section and there are in basic terms an extremely few that make actual Chicago type deep dish. yet they're continually VERY crowded!

Being from WI, and now living in SC, I have to say that Chicago Deep dish is the BEST pizza.

I have lived in Chicago for 7 years after growing up just outside of New York City. I still seek out thin crust places around where ever I go. Out here...finding great thin crust is more like a dining, cult religion than food preference.

Never had Chicago style, I hate thin style. It's like cardboard with cheese. I like pizza with a big fluffy dough.
