Doubt is bad any way you look at it. Follow your instincts! They may be right!

Doubt in a relationship can either make u or break u.

First of all, when you get into a relationship, you don't want to come off to your "other" as naive or dumb...and u obviously don't want 2 look like a fool by putting ALL of your trust into them and they're 'playing' you the whole time.

So, you have doubt in the beginning because your guards are up. At this point in time, you're feeling around and "testing the water" 2 see exactly where this person's mind and motivations are lying...are they being honest and sincere with u or r they just trying to PORTRAY that so that they can USE u...that's what you're trying to figure out.

This doubt builds strength and respect on your behalf. The other person looks at u as wise and not foolish...they see that you're not a "sucker 4 love".

HOWEVER...after you've been with a person for a while, you should basically know everything there is to know about that person. At some point, you should realize what level their thinking is on, and you should know their EVERY thought...not because you're some stalker, but because you know them just that well.

This is when the doubt can break up the relationship. Nobody likes to be accused of cheating or lieing all the time...and after so long, it would offend that person if they're really being true to u and u still don't think they are. They'll feel like their actions are in vain, and they'll begin to break away from u...feeling unappreciated.

Doubt is the natural process of figuring out faith. All relationships are a matter of eventually taking that step of faith to commit forever no matter what happens. You at some point just have to gather as much information as you can and realize that you won't know what the future holds, and that because it is uncertain, there is the risk, and that is the step that you need to just finally move into the unknown......So I would say that doubt is a natural element of relationships for sure and it is coming up for specific reasons. The best thing you can do in gathering information is know yourself. What are your deal breakers? What are the can't stands/must haves? Perhaps doubt is about you figuring out what it is you really want, and if you can live with her the way she is or not....if this doubt is coming from something that is a DEAL BREAKER....you need to worry and think about it.....if the doubt is coming from smaller things....they might be that faith issue, or just need some communicating about.....whatever it is.......becareful how you dicuss it with her....don't say you doubt her, or the relationship...but actually get to the specifics that are causing the doubt and iron out THOSE.....:)

It's simply doubt. If you're doubting that your partner is cheating, it's probably not the best. then again, anything is possible! choose not to doubt. why put the extra stress on yourself?

Uncertainty is expected in any relationship but it depends on the magnitude and the direction.
