Hi,
"Yes" bring your DVDs with you. If I'm not mistaken UK Television Standards are Pal like Australia, not NTSC. The same goes for running electronic goods. Our power outlets are 240 volts not 120 volts. So you can even bring your DVD player with you.

If you have kids like mine you mostly likely have a PlayStation or Xbox so bring that with you as well as there games.

Hope you enjoy living here.

DVD's or DVD players? The actual DVD's don't work because the have different region encoding. Australia/ New Zealand and South America is Region 4 and Europe is Region 2.

dvd from the original product dont wok in australia as the region is wrong. But there are programs that will change the region.
http://www.dvdidle.com/dvd-region-free.htm however this program costs money!

But just sticking the DVD in a computer in australia will do! it will play !
