I had this contagious hair disease that creates small white bumps on top of my scalp - I forgot the name of it. My doctor subscribed very harsh/strong tan colored cream medicine which I also can't recall. I had to lather it in my hair and wash it off after a while.

It killed the disease but even now 7 years later my scalp is super sensitive to touch. I have to be really gentle when I towel dry my hair and still hurts.

Anybody have the same experience? I what can I do about my scalp?

David you may want to locate that doctor and get the names of the disease and the medicine. Otherwise talk to your current doctor or a dermatologist and feel free to tell them that you got this idea on the net. Cetacaine spray is used to numb up the throat before endoscopies, ask them if they could prescribe you this for occasional scalp use. the use of things like oragel or lidocaine ointment could require too much of the product, good luck
