They are taught.
Children may shy away from differences but they don't automatically hate.

We are taught the characteristic trait of hate it is not a natural human tendancy however fear is a natural tendancy to things we do not know or experiences we are not accustomed too.

I don't understand. Fear and hate what? If it is religious in nature, and I assume it is, this being the R & S section, it is not about fear & hate, but right versus wrong.
Too many post-modern people believe that all religions lead to God, and that we should leave well enough alone. Truth is no longer a standard, but is relative.
This is absurd. In "real" life this is not true, so why would it be spiritually? In "real" life, all roads do not lead to New York, so why would all roads lead to God? Even if one were on the right road, if they are heading in away from their destination, they aren't right.
The same is true with Christianity versus all the other religions and cults. It is not a claim of the followers of Jesus Christ, but one of Christ Himself. He said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)
Either Christ was who He said He was, or He was a liar or a lunatic. And neither of those will maintain a following for thousands of years.

Ah....good question. I don't agree that "all" fear and hate is taught. We learn between good and evil as we grow and form our own ideas as to what to fear/hate that is true. But how then do you explain a baby that is affraid of the dog. Who has taught it this fear? There are many fears that ppl have that have not been taught but just are. Hate on the other hand. I don't know. To me hate is the same as saying that you wish someone dead. I can honestly say that I have not ever wished anyone dead....not even my mothers murderer. It just is beyond me to wish death on anyone.

We are taught to fear and hate, and that is the problem with our society.
