and how do you code it to make it with work with your sat/direct tv

i had it working but now just works the tv not the satlitelte

I do but it stopped working for me and my tv a year or two ago and I bought a universal remote and programmed it to use with the tv (I have cable by the way). Your second question, I don't know, your instruction booklet that came with the tv may help you and maybe not if you are asking on here. I can't really help you but maybe the satellite company can or try a universal remote. Good luck.
