A few geneticists believe in intelligent design. However, when they come out as a believer in intelligent design, they are lambasted by fellow scientists, and for good reason - the evidence for evolution is just plain overwhelming.

You should ask Francis Collins, head of the Human Genome Project. He's a design theorist and scientist who founded the sequencing of the entire human genome.
Or Francis Crick, (of Watson and Crick) who disocvered DNA, also a design theorist of sorts in that he believed that aliens "seeded" the earth with life since DNA was almost impossibly the product of natural mechanisms considering the age of the earth. Now did he think DNA came from elsewhere? Well yes, that's what panpspermia is all about.

ive always felt that intelligent design and evolution go hand in hand. weve started off a certain way, a nice simple orginal design. then we adapt to our environments and evolve or deevole for that matter accordingly.
and strangely enough, we are designed to evolve
