Zits are sometimes outward reactions to inward inbalances. During periods of hormonal changes, (teen years, after antibiotic, childbirth or surgery) it is important to get plenty of sleep, lots of water and balance your intestines with a diagestive aide like probiotics.
When you are hormonal your system of transport will dump the excess that does not get to where it is intended into you waste system... your skin is a alternative method of waste removal. if your urine is not plentiful or if your bowels are not working at the optimal. Antibiotics (most common problem in teens) mess up the bodies ability to control the flow of hormons and the ability to discard the excess. An older person will have more problems with peeling skin on the hands or bumps on the back or extreme sweating.
Drink lots of water, get plenty of sleep... but mostly find a good balanced probiotic (internal little things that help you digest your food instead of it rotting in your tummy) And find a good enzyme that helps digest certain problem foods like fats, sugars, and starches.
Some doctors now understand these issues. Unfortunately some unethical sales are all over the internet and in TV adds and in magazines. A good reliable phamacy... and your own pharmacist may be your best bet. But specifically ask for Probiotics and Enzymes. Then take them according to directions with lots of fresh water and plenty of rest. Good luck!

you have to keep your face clean with a cleanser that won't over dry your skin. Keep your hands off of your face and don't pick at it. Tea tree oil is awesome for acne but it will cause your skin to get a little dry. You need to use a moisturizer even though you have acne, just use one that won't clog your pores. So basically clean your face, put on tea tree oil, use moisturizer on top of that.

wash with warm water and a facial cleanser 2-3 times a day, rinse, dab to dry, put an oil free lotion on immidiately after to mosturize....DON'T USE products like Sea Breeze or Pro-Activ because they have alcohol in them and will just dry up your skin causing more oils to come and that means more zits

Try scrubbing it every day, use a gentle but rough scrubbing mitt. Always keep it clean. It will keep the pores open and they won't turn into pimples. An astringent would be good after washing and scrubbing thoroughly,
Then moisturize it before bed.
