i know it would be better for me. money wise, sober wise, and im more happy here then there..i can make a better life here..i would still be apart of my babies life i would make sure of it.. i just dont know if its wrong or not?

try to come back on some weekends ... as much as possible... see if you can find a similar job or similar pay where you are at.... if not, then do the best you can do for your family and do what is in your heart...

AS bad as the struggle is for a child to live w/o both parents. Sometimes it is better for them as well. To have a father that is an adict or is always fighting w. the mother is rough. Stay in contact. Stay responsible. Help w/ her financially. But if you are unhappy don't make everyone suffer about it.

Hey,My name is Dave.I was in the same boat that you are in now!I came home from work and found my wife at the time cheating on me with my best friend of 18 years!I love my kids but I meet someone who loves me unconditional!I miss my kids but in the same token I still see them as much as I can.She still tries to make my life difficult!I feel if you can make a better life for yourself and your childs life then go for it!but remember to stay in that childs life and don't give up no mater what!It's not your childs fault,but in the same token you have to make your life better!It's always difficult in the begining,but it will get better in the end result!If you need to still talk about it some more then e-mail me at gretchen-lover@hotmail.com.Remember life is not smoothes sailing,but the roughest trails will always give the best result as far as personal strength and determination.This was said to me from my U.S.M.C Drill Instructor!I moved from upstate New York to New Hampshire which is a 4 hour drive one way!

You did not say if you were married or not. I will assume you are not since you didn't say wife.

It is not wrong to move. What's wrong is if you stop caring (financially and emotionally) for your child. Dont let situations, circumstance or people (a new love interest) stop you from being a father to your child. Calculate what is good child support, call and visit often. Children need fathers just as much as they need mothers.

It depends upon your particular situation. Do you still love your baby's mother? Have you talked it over with her? Seek help for your alcohol addiction.

well i just have a problem with my baby calling my mother, mom. but if its the best thing then go for it
