Adultery is wrong, because if you believe in the term "adultery" you are applying it to a behavior that you believe is sinful.

If you believe in open relationships, then you do not believe in the term "adultery".

Yes it is wrong in our society, we still believe in love and marraige, so with that comes faithfullness to that partner. I have been on the receiving end and on the guilty end and its not nice either way, if you have made the mistake of cheating, you then worry about the outcome as 9 out of 10 times it was a mistake.

with the rate of STD's and divorce that we have now I think we should be thinking that adultery is not the answer.

Be careful

Adultery is definitely wrong - someone is always hurt . A good relationship is based on truth and trust - adultery breaks that trust so that regardless of how remorseful the adulterer might feel later, the wronged partner will never again be able to believe a word the wrong-doer says. No, I have nothing to feel guilty about because I have never cheated.

Adultery must still be wrong. It's seems to always be a reason why people get divorced. What I am really saying is if two consenting adults end a marriage because one of them is having an extra marital affair, it definitely must be wrong.

People still want to be loved and feel special by one special person. So it will probably be wrong until people do not require commitment and honesty.

In my view the true morality is to live without doing harm to others. That is true moral responsibility. Prescribed moral codes and rules, only serve to reduce the moral judgement of the individual. I see no point in prescribing adultery as wrong, or to condone it as OK.

What each individual needs to do is to make decisions about what to do in each unique situation as it arises, to consider what harm their actions may cause to another, and always go the way of least harm.

If all lived in this way the world would be a much better place to live in than it is today.

Yes it is so wrong in my eyes! If you feel the urge to look and seek attention or affection or even lust from elsewhere then you really do not have a good strong relationship and should be honest to the other person and end it before feelings and hatred sets in!!!

Of course cheating is wrong, especially if you're married. If you are just dating someone, its still absolutely immoral, but if you can find a way to break it off without the other person finding out ever....
