Are you asking for peace in your heart or in your circumstances? God does not promise to make your circumstances into a bed of roses, but He does promise peace in your heart if you give your cares up to Him:

Phil 4:6-7

Be anxious for nothing, but through prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

God does not answer prayers the way we want Him to, He answers prayers for our own good. It's like a child who wants to play eat only cookies - his parents will not let him - because it is not good for him. But the same parent will provide healthy food for their child. Same with God. Sometimes His answer is no, sometimes His answer is yes, sometimes His answer is wait.

There is some things prayer will not change. Because it is the perfect will of God. If you read the Bible, its tells us there will be no peace on earth until He comes back. This is Gods plain and it can't be changed with prayer.

God answer prayers everyday, every minute, Just keep praying about the things that we need to do.

God here you and he loves you. God has always meet our needs. Not our wants.

Better check your Pride level. Do you REALLY believe that your personal prayers can bring world peace? Do you really think God doesn't have this world in hand??? We will have peace on earth when God's Plan is fulfilled, and not before.
Try praying for things in YOUR life to change, and see what happens. Also, how much Scripture have you been reading lately? Done any fasting? If you want to see God in action, TAKE action.

What's really cool about this question is that we just talked about prayer this morning in church service... God is a covenant God... He had covenants with Moses, Noah, Abraham, an endless list of people, there is a covenant with any one who chooses to follow Jesus Christ, (the blood covenant) and covenant is an agreement/promise from God... having peace is God's will for us, but when we ask for peace, it should not be "God if it's your will... I will have peace" Ofcourse it's His will.... It's in His Word... but what people are misunderstanding is that God's time frame of having things come to pass is different from our own, but also, God has the perfect timing, and we also know, through studying the Bible that anytime God made a promise or covenant with someone, the enemy came and did/does all that he can do, to keep us from upholding our side of the agreement.... because God's Word cannot return to Him void, we know that if we ask, we shall receive, and we know that God's timing is perfect, and we should faithfully seek God and let patience have its perfect work in our life... losing faith in God and unaswered prayers are issues of the heart.... in your heart do not be moved by what you see and hear but by what you know, and that is to be the Word of God... If you want to regain your faith: repent from whatever you need to, examine your heart, give it again to Jesus Christ and then know that you know that you know: He is Lord and Savior, died on the Cross, rose again, and through Him your sins are forgiven and washed clean. And then in prayer when you go to God, pray His Word to Him, dwell with Him, thank Him for the promise/covenant and patiently wait upon Him until His Word fulfills itself to you, as only as it can, because God's Word cannot return to Him void. If you need any encouragement read the Word and you'll discover that no matter the time span, God always upheld his promises. God Bless You my brother/sister and feel loved today and peace today, because Jesus did accomplish His purpose on the Cross!!!

We pray for God`s assistance in all things but we should always add that His will be done since only He has the big picture. We are not aware of the consequences should our small req be answered. Even world peace has a consequence. He is not there to do our bidding, we are here to do his.

Faith is only lost if the object of that faith is misplaced to begin with. It is repentance and trust in Christ that allows us to come to the throne of God to request things in faith.

Once folks understand that, they see the answers as to why there will never be peace on earth until the return of Christ, the only one who can rid this world of sin.

I sure hope you didn't fall into the trap or temptation of thinking that the God Who created and maintains the entire universe doesn't exist or doesn't love you or doesn't love mankind, etc because He did not alter the course of His universe to bend to your wishes -- however 'good' and fervent and heartfelt and unselfish they may be. That is a trap many of us fall into from time to time without realizing what we're doing. We try to make God fit into our own idea of what He should be. "If God is love, He'll stop all the wars." "If God exists and He loves me, then nothing bad will ever happen to me or my family or my foiends or anyone I like." "I asked God for something and didn't get it, so He must not be there." When you base your faith on these false ideas about God, it's bound to crumble because your ideas don't fit with how He has designed His universe to work. It really IS His world and we just live in it. If you try to make guidelines that God has to fit into, you're basically creating your own god, which is idolatry. Having no other gods before Him means not making up our own, and not forming our own image of what He has to be like. Study about Him from His Word and learn what He's really like. Learn about Who He is. He is great and wonderful and magnificent and majestic -- even when He doesn't do things the way I think He should or wish He would. A God Who bent to my every whim wouldn't be in charge of anything; I would be in charge of Him, and that's not how it's supposed to be. He's the God and I'm the human. I'm here to serve Him, not vice versa. He does sometimes grant what I ask, certainly. That's when what I ask fits in with His plan. He's in charge, not me. He does provide for the needs of His people, that's not a question, though sometimes our needs aren't what we think they are. He's not obligated to answer any of our prayers, even the unselfish ones. When He does grant a request of ours, we should be grateful as though we'd received something undeserved -- which we have. No human deserves God's grace and mercy, but He gives it to us anyway. Isn't He wonderful?!

Evil will be with us until Jesus' return to reign on earth. Whether we like it or not, that is the truth because God said it. One of the main reasons that evil has to be allowed to exist in the world, in all its various forms, is so we are truly free to choose God and His ways. He doesn't want robots who follow and worship Him because they have no choice. He loves us so much -- and wants us to truly and freely love Him -- that He allows evil to exist here. That wasn't His first choice, but mankind fell. Now we live in a world with sin in it. Sin is ugly and painful and a necessary part of this world, unfortunately. Its presence does not mean God doesn't exist. It, too, is part of His plan, whether we understand that or not.

I do not think G-d works like that. I never ask G-d for anything except the strength to get thru whatever life brings. My prayers are 99% ''Thank you'' for all the things-big and small-that I have been given.

Just remember that God answers prayers when God wants to and how God wants to, and not always the way and when we want it to be answered. When we least expect it our prayers are answered in some way or form. Amen to that!
