Do I fear is a car is going to hit me, fear that I'll die from cancer, fear that I'll be mugged by a gang, that I'll be bombed / nuked, fear that I'll die tomorrow or years from now from old age? Something, somewhere to anyone, anytime...there has always been illness, war, fear. I reside in California and remember back in the 1960's that fathers were having bomb shelters built in their backyards due to outside bomb threat of another country....now here it is 2006 and there are still worries, different story, different decade. I am attentive and caring of world affairs yet to go around worrying that I might die tomorrow or next year from some event...no. Out of worry comes attentiveness and solutions or neglect, ill judgment and harm...we are wonderfully silly people on this planet...I do what I can and live my life. I am a citizen who votes to put those in office to focus on issues you speak of while I still voice my concerns and opinions even after the fact. But to worry . . .whatever the circumstances that takes my last human breath away and I am no longer on this planet...so be it. I live in the today, am attentive and live my life.

Hi Matt as we say good theme for a book or even a film, maybe you should join the ranks of the adventure writers or fiction brigade. but your logic is bit off. the reason wars are usually fought is because with the last two where about a regime that lost the plot. so yes it could be middle east with the hot heads that live there, or the communist banner waving north Koreans, but it is not likely to be some northern hemisphere country. so water will not be the issue what it is more likely to be is some idiot with a mental problem with a bomb. that is a real possibility. so what will happen is the north pole ice cap could melt because the Americans and Chinese will still keep using fossil fuels depleting the atmosphere with CFC gases and the world sea temperature will rise and the land will be less. due to rising sea levels. the less intelligent will keep breeding like rats. so land itself will be the issue. more themes for a fiction writer. oh yes kevin costner's water world, or the postman it has all been done before. well there goes another fiction writers career.

Holding a finger up to a button doesn't mean actually firing it. For now there's no real reason to start WWIII, and most political leaders (as dumb as they might someitmes be) do realize that firing a nuke could result in one coming right back at you. Oh, and just reading some of the above answers, radical muslim groups make a lot of noise but they don't have the technology nor the skills for now to start a major conflict.

Some people already believe that it WW3 is now, but there needs to be a certain "spark" to actually "start" it. Look at the war in Iraq, the nukes in Iran, nukes in North Korea, Israel and it's neighboring countries. It's practically everywhere.

Yes it is starting, with Iraq, Iran, and all the other lovley honeymoone spots against the classic allies from WWII and next thing you know, we have world war three. Also the North Koreans are dangeruose and personlly, I think the USA is in for another Civil war and crack under it's own power.

i dont hink so, the world will probably be annihilated before another real world war, cuz if it starts gettin to that point some 1 will drop a nuke, and if its on us as soon as they see it on radar we'll send one right back

ww3 my a55, a world war consists of many powerful countries, which the only powerful country in this war is us

There is no doubt about it...WWIII has already begun. You are right there is a lot of power wherein the nukes were abandoned or sold. I think Korea has the ignorance to use them. Don't you?

It will come on slow so slow you will not even know we are in it until you look back a see. It will start in small attackers wide apart and far away from each other. They will build over time years will pass. But it will come.

It looks like something is inevitable when radical groups are announcing their agenda to wipe out other countries and are hellbent on taking over the world with their militia and dogma.
