No serious scholar today denies the empty tomb. The soldiers don't have it, the Jews don't have it, nor the disciples, so where is it?

OK, I mean the body, not the tomb, my bad.

you can dismiss the Gospels if you wish but they are the evidence that Jesus indeed rose from the dead as He said that He would, and the Temple Jews would have tried all in their power to refute this which they did, but the Apostles and Disciples knew the truth.

Where are you getting this information that "no serious scholar today denies the empty tomb?" Are they not serious if they disagree with it? There are some who argue that Jesus' body was stolen by the Disciples, there's even more that say the whole Crucifixion and Resurrection was a myth.

Personally, I believe in the Crucifixion, but I deny the Resurrection. I don't think anybody ever inspected it. The Gospels were written 60 years later and nobody knows where the tomb is now anyway.

Look around now. Hitler died in 1945, by the 1970s there were stories that he faked his death and lived in Argentina. In 25 years stories like these were already around, why couldn't it have happend back then? I won't even touch the "Elvis is alive" stuff.

What an odd question. I say this humbly - but are you serious? -
"No serious scholar..." ???
"The soldiers don;t have it..." ???
"Where is it..." ???
Stories of the empty tomb, like the New Testament in general, are stories propagated - in good faith - to try to soften and make more palatable the harshness of a godless, uncaring universe. You really have to gow up now, and place such stories on the same level, if not a bit below (in terms of wit) - the Simpsons.

Anecdotal evidence backed up by anecdotal evidence? Claims made, claims believed, we can't check the tomb and see if it is in fact empty, the absence of a body generally means the absence of someone having existed. or cannibalism, or incineration, how do you account for an empty faith?

We're talking about people 2000 years ago that believed a man could make water into wine and walk on water. It's not hard to escape from a cave. You don't have to be David Blaine to do it either.

If you knew what the tomb was, you wouldn't be asking such a question. I doubt it ever moved!

Do you really think anyone can find any evidence relevant to a 2000 year old murder mystery? Hell, we can't even find that Holloway girl and you expect an answer for that.

They moved the body to another location. Or burned it.
