I love to bake during the holidays but I'm tired of making the samethings can anyone help, and please try and keep it simple lol

I love baking too, and this is a recipe that never fails. You can substitute white choc chips with dark or milk ones, and pecans with walnuts, macadamia or peanuts. Enjoy!

White chocolate chip oatmeal cookies


Ingredients:

150 g butter
145 g light brown sugar
135 g white sugar
1 egg
2 tabs vanilla extract
250 g all-purpose flour
3 g baking powder
3 g baking soda
4 g salt
80 g rolled oats
240 g white chocolate chips
80 g chopped pecans



1.Preheat oven to 160 degrees C (180 if fan forced). Line baking trays with baking paper.
2.In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar and white sugar until smooth. Stir in the egg and vanilla. Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt, stir into the creamed mixture. Finally, stir in the rolled oats, white chocolate chips and pecans. Drop by tablespoon onto the prepared cookie sheets.
3.Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Remove from baking sheets to cool on wire racks.

Cream Cheese Coconut Cookies
Ingredients:
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon coconut extract
1 (18.5 ounce) package yellow cake mix
Optional: 1/2 cup coconut
1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, cream together the cream cheese and butter. Stir in the egg and extract. Add cake mix, and stir until well blended. Roll into 1 inch balls and coat in the confectioners' sugar. Place 1 inch apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet. ( I used parchment paper). Bake for 10 to 13 minutes in the preheated oven. After a few minutes remove from baking sheets to cool.

"Andes" Chocolate Chunk Cookies

1 cup butter or margarine, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2-1/4 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups Andes Baking Chips

Beat butter, sugars, egg and vanilla in a large mixing bowl with
electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Mix in flour,
baking soda and salt. Stir in Andes Baking Chips. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased (or parchment paper lined) cookie sheets. Bake at 375 for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly. Remove from cookie sheets.Makes 5-6 dozen cookies.

Chunky White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies

About 30 Cookies, minus the ones you eat

Ingredients:

1 cup plus 2 tbsp. all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 lg. egg
1 tsp. vanilla
9 oz. white chocolate with almonds coarsley chopped
1 cup macadamia nuts coarsely and chopped

Preparation:

Position two racks in top and bottom thirds of the oven and preheat to 375F. Lightly grease 2 baking sheets. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. In large bowl, using a hand-held mixer set at medium speed, cream butter with the sugars for 2 to 3 minutes, until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla. Reduce speed and beat in the flour mixture until just combined. Stir in the white chocolate and macadamia nuts.

Using 1 tbsp. dough, roll dough into a ball between the palms of your hands. Place the ball on the cookie sheet, leaving 1 inch between the cookies. Repeat for each cookie. With moistened palm, slightly flatten the cookies. Bake 9-12 minutes, until lightly golden. Transfer the cookies to a wire rack and cool completely.

BIG SOFT GINGER BREAD COOKIES

INGREDIENTS
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup margarine, softened
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 tablespoon water
1/4 cup molasses
2 tablespoons white sugar
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Sift together the flour, ginger, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together the margarine and 1 cup sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, then stir in the water and molasses. Gradually stir the sifted ingredients into the molasses mixture. Shape dough into walnut sized balls, and roll them in the remaining 2 tablespoons of sugar. Place the cookies 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet, and flatten slightly.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container.


CHOCOLATE COVERED CHERRY COOKIES

INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup butter
1 egg
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 (10 ounce) jar maraschino cherries
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
Beat butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla and beat well. Add dry ingredients and stir until smooth.
Roll into 1-inch balls about the size of a walnut (larger if desired). Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Drain cherries and reserve juice. Press center of each ball with thumb. Place a cherry in indentation.
In a saucepan, heat condensed milk and chocolate chips until chips are melted. Stir in 4 teaspoons of cherry juice. Spoon about 1 teaspoon of mixture over each cherry and spread to cover cherry. (More cherry juice may be added to keep frosting of spreading consistency.)
Bake for 10 minutes.

Well...I do not know what the same 'ol is for you but try these. These are one of the many cookies I bake during the holidays. Everyone loves them.

the one on the Nestle chocolate chip bag is a good one.

oatmeal raisin from the quaker oat box is good too.
