No. That guilty feeling will never go away. The best way to approach it is to accept the mistake and learn from it. We are only human and we are all prone to mistakes in life. Learning to accept yourself for who you are will make you a better person in the future. Also give yourself time to heal. It doesn't work overnight unfortunately. Hold on!!

Eventually. It takes a loooong time if you're feeling guilty about something major. There comes a point where you have to realize that you're giving yourself too much credit. Are you and what you did really so great and horrible that you've caused THAT much pain for someone else? Chances are the answer is no. That really helped me work through some big guilt. It also helps to NOT keep it a secret. That just causes added stress that can show up in physical ways. Best of luck with dealing with it. :)

Depends on what you did or what you thought of. Well, for instance, I'm a Christian, whenever I feel Guilt, I ask for God's Forgiveness, then after that I know God forgave me, but is asking me NOT to do it again. Also, if you hurt someone, you could always pick up some flowers, go back to that person and ask for their forgiveness. Or if you did damage to any houses, buildings, you could always also ask for forgiveness but also offer to pay for the damages, SOMEHOW. There are So many different kind of guilts. You can also forgive yourself, and promise yourself that you won't do it again. God Bless!---

I don't know i still deal with it on a daily basis... the only thing that even re-leaves mine even a little to just try and move past what I feel is wrong with me but even then it still doesn't go away...

Yes it does. I guess it depends on what was done to feel guilty though. If it was done to someone maybe apologizing with real feeling will help. If it was done to yourself-just forgive and forget. If you're spiritual, ask your Higher Power to give you strength and courage to continue on. You'll do just fine.

I wish you were more giving with the facts. When something hurts you that bad somebody to talk to might help. Sometimes that can give you new direction, in solving the problem.

No, they don't completely go away, but you can manage them after professional counseling and maybe drug therapy. You cannot do it alone and there's no over the counter cure for it.

It all depends on you....you can let it eat you alive or you can deal with it and move on. Healthy suggestion is to do the latter.
