We want to stay in Cornwall with our small dog and two children but don't want to pay more than it would cost us to stay at home for a month! £580/£590 is just far too much and leaves no money to spend on treats. Someone must know somewhere cheap - we don't need fancy, just reasonable, clean and space for everybody.

try blakes cottages, they have plenty of choice, and their website specifies if dogs are allowed....we stayed in one last christmas, slept 12 and cost £800 for the week. obviously you won't need one this big but it gives you an idea of what they can offer

Avon Cottage is in Treator nr Padstow. We stayed here in October and found it very clean, comfortable and warm. Dogs are welcome. It is only a few minutes' drive from Padstow. The rate for October was only £400pw - fabulous value for money. It is situated in the grounds of the Woodlands Country Hotel, so the owners are always on hand should they be needed.

Self catering means just that....you will be catering for yourself, so it will only include breakfast if your going to cook it! However, in some hotels, you do get the chance to upgrade, and for a small fee, you can go half-board,in which case, you would get breakfast, and an evening meal.
