I have a Powerpoint 97 and I have been able to use it before on an XP powerpoint but do newer XP computers also allow this?

Yes but it will ask you to upgrade the file to newer standards if your using a newer powerpoint to display it(wont mess up your presentation any). If your using powerpoint viewer it will work fine.

Yes, a Powerpoint97 presentation will work on an XP Powerpoint. You can go from a lower level to a higher level. But you cannot go from a higher level to a lower level. For example an XP Powerpoint presentation wouldn't work on a 97 computer

Yes, it may be necessay to convert it to Powerpoint 2003 (from MS Office 2003), but it should still work. XP is XP. Powerpoint 97 is part of the MS Office 97 suite, Powerpoint 2003 is part of MS Office 2003 for XP.MS Office apps for the most part are backwards compatible to their older versions.

You mean if you create a presentation on PP97 and then try to play it on a computer with XP installed? it should work.

yes only fonts may appear differentley
