The simple fact is is that a fact needs no ones beliefs to exist, religion on the other hand needs belief to exist. If no one had faith in religion and no one follow it then the ideas that religion stresses would just be myths.

Goodness gracious me. That would take far too long for me to explain what I believe . . . suffice to say that I am a non-practicing Wiccan agnostic Objectivist.

Boggle your mind? Mine, too.

i believe there is a god. well, not nesscarily "god", because that thing that loves us and gave us life has no name. i believe that we are born to fullfil our desires. "god" loves us so much that when we told it what we wanted, it let us live and go and get it.

others believe in heaven in hell. they believe that if you are bad you go to hell, and if not, you go to heaven. i think that is bullshit. I wouldn't want to teach a child that if you are bad, you wont go with "god". i use to think that the story of adam and eve was silly, but now i understand. Adam and eve didn't want god, they wanted something different, so god let them get what they wanted .

ha , ha. i'm going to get a thumbs down.

Christian to non-believer; You remind me of a blind man in a dark room looking for a black cat.

God is what I believe in.

I am not sure what others believe in but I can only pray that it is in God as well.

God Bless

I am a Christian. We base our faith on Jesus Christ dying for everyone in the world. He was born (why we celebrate Christmas) and lived a perfect life. He is God’s son, and was born of a virgin, Mary. When he died, he went through extreme pain. In the Bible, when He was praying to God that "the cup could pass from Him" in other words, that He wouldn't have to die, he was sweating BLOOD! (Luke 22:44)that was written by Luke, who was a doctor! that is an actual medical condition when someone is under EXTREME stress.
Jesus was in a human body. it truly HURT Him. and He could have gone up to Heaven at any time He wanted to, but He didn't because He loves us. He loved us SO much.

when He died, Jesus PAID for our sins. we do wrong things, everyone does. but there can be NO sin in Heaven. because Jesus came to earth and DID NOT sin, He could pay for our sins. He didn't just take one person's sins, He payed for EVERYONES, even yours. by rising from the dead, he also conquered death, so we don't have to be afraid of dying. all we have to do is accept the gift of His death for us in praying to Him and saying a simple prayer like this:

"Dear Lord Jesus, I am a sinner and i can't save myself, i believe that you died for my sins. Right now, i'm asking you to come into my heart and be my own personal savior. I trust in you that i'll go to Heaven when i die, so i won't have to fear death. Thank you for your gift. in Jesus' name. Amen"

this year at school 1 teen from our youth group died in a car crash. we KNEW josh had accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior. we KNEW that he was in Heaven because Jesus had died. about 20 kids accepted Jesus because of Josh's death. yeah, josh wasn't afraid to die, cause he KNEW he was going to Heaven, but he missed out on the rest of his life. he was 16! but if Jesus hadn't died, Josh would have gone to Hell and so would every single one of us. John 3:16 and Romans 5:8 say that the reason He died was because He loves us so much! because of His death, we can live in Heaven with Him forever!

oh, if you have any questions or comments, please feel free to email me! i hope this helped.
Holly :-)
