If you think there is a chance, don't be afraid to go for it, but then again, don't make yourself look bad in doing so.
Remember that best relationships are made by being best friends first, but the question you truly have to ask yourself is "are you compatible relationship material?" if so then by all means go for it, be happy in life, that's what it is all about.
On the same note as mentioned above, if something backfires, your relationship might not ever be the same, so just be very careful in making this decision.....drop subtle questions and hints in round about ways, (its called flirting)

try being flirtatious and asking him yourself if he likes you because u never know. he might seem like he likes u so ur friends say he does but he is just being nice.. idk u should talk 2 him urself
