This past week, i was involved in a very professional school play at my school and after the play was over we got these programmes expecially for the cast which we could all sign...this boy who was also in it wrote in my program: "Roberta, what a beautiful girl u are!...I have got to know you better this year and you are truly a star!...Never hide from youre dreams; be an actress, its about self belief...Love (his name) xxx" My sisters best friend who is 25 and her much more experience with guys saw this and said that that comment is simply screaming "i want you", but my best friend who is 16 like i am says he's just trying to be nice and encouraging...so who on earth do i believe?....i'd really appreaciate any advice...

Since we can't really ever know what others are thinking, I'd wait for him to approach you again. Maybe he'll ask you for a date or something.
In the meantime, enjoy the compliment for what it is. If a relationship is in the offing, let him be the one to ask you.

maybe either ask him directly or ask him by saying something like. so have anybody special u wana date? or even ask his friends. that always works cuz if he likes u, he'll be just like us girls and talk about u nonstop to his friends
