My girlfriend has a lot of Jessica Simpson moments... her whole family does, actually... it bugs me... we never have intellectually stimulating conversation... but she is really good to me. has this happened to anyone else and do they learn to love all their mate's imperfections? (i realize im not perfect, too, but for some reason it's hard for me to get over this particular thing...)

today she told me a story about her dad... he said something like this seriously: "i don't want to go to elephant bar! do i look like i want to eat elephant??" and she said her and the rest of her family were cracking up sooooooooo much. and i felt bad and sad for him... and sad that it was her dad that said that (the apple didn't fall far from the tree). i felt kinda out of place with her whole family when she told me that because i wouldn't think that was funny... just sad. not to say i don't love her.

btw, she isn't book-smart either... but i think the two go somewhat hand-in-hand.

Didnt anyone ever tell you opposites attract. Just because she has a different away about her maybe its there to help you bring out your inner child. Lighten up if she treats you good and you love her it shouldnt matter if she is kind of ditzy

While she wouldn't have to be a genius, I also don't want an "airhead".
