You can , but if its not a 800+ horsepower motor you are not going to be happy with the amout of effort it took to get it running. For the same amount of money and effort you could have a faster car with a 500hp 5.0 motor or a turbo 4.6 - watch "pinks" and see what the winning mustangs are running.

Sir in all do respect there really is no need for this swap. if you have the 4.6 just supercharge or turbo it. You will spend far more putting that 460 in then you would this way. Think about custom mounts , springs, drive shaft, beefing up the 8.8, It can be done though if you have your heart set on it.

hey do i know you? i think i do. that 460 is a big block man. need a heavier trans and driveshaft, rear end, new if not fabricated motor mounts, cooling system, fuel delivery, engine bay remod.lot of work probly have to cut a hole in the hood, especially since you might want to mod that motor first. heavy suspension, big brakes, what are you using it for? do you have the stock 6 cyl? hows the 460 run?

You can but I would rather put in a modified 302 V8, a 351 Cleveland or a 347 Stroker motor instead, lots of power without increasing alot of weight

it's possible but you would not like the way it corners or threatens to twist itself into a pretzel , also plug changes would be very difficult and you would burn your rear tires off every 5000 mi. if it's a 1/4 mile car only that you will cage and tub then OK , but the 351 will give a far superior car as far as performance , balance ,etc.

you would be better off just supercharging the 4.6 thats in your car (presuming you have a gt). Or if you wanted to get real power just do a 03-04 cobra motor swap.
