The devil was an angel cast out of God's kingdom to be a serpent in the Garden of Eden. In his new form, he slithered around on his belly to the Forbidden Tree and tempted Eve to eat the forbidden fruit.
This was the original sin.

That would be Eve. She allowed the devil to deceive her and wanted to know if what the devil said was true (becoming like God). She then ate of the fruit, shared it with Adam and voila...sin was born.
It was an act of disobedience and we've been disobedient ever since.

Eve, followed by Adam.
They defied God and did what they were told not then, then they compounded it by being weisels and assessing blame outside themselves: The snake made me do it, the woman made me do it.
That's the original sin. Not taking responsibility for your actions and not acting in accordance with the rules of the universe in which you live.

Oog was the first when he went into Urgh's cave and slept with Oomla. The lizard god came upon the scene and spat vehemently upon Oog's loincloth and sayeth unto him, "leave this cave forever and dwell in a far away land called Iraq"
