I've reverted to IE6 and it works great again, but I'd like to know if there is a fix so I could go back to IE7.

I also use firefox, but after installing IE7, video even hitched in firefox.

As for resources, it is a newer laptop with 768MB ram and the cpu is a 1.4 Celeron M, which as I understand it is comparable o a ~2 ghz in the older style processors.

As for other processes running, there are virtually none. I've killed everything except system processes and even tried uninstalling antivirus briefly.

It works fine now that I'm back on IE6 & Firefox. I was just hoping to find a solution

Reasons:
- Slow clock CPU speed
- Need more RAM
- Lots of processes running in the background
- Try Fire Fox 2

If the machine isn't fast or doesn't have enough memory, newer M$ products don't work on it. M$ crap has turned into BLOATWARE and will suck up all your system resources.

That is why I stopped at IE6 and W2000. My 64bit systems went to LINUX to really fly...

DEBIAN 64bit kernel does it for me, and it doesn't cost much. ( D/L for FREE )

OO does the M$ Office bit too.

Try firefox from mozilla.com

You probably won't want to go back to IE
