I have a drama teacher and she's really upset because I missed 2 very important rehearsals and we're like a week and a half till the school play opens. She's the kind of teacher that likes to scare you in order to make you do things her way. Have any of you guys felt this way with any teacher? Anything I should think about so I won't be so scared?

I know the worst thing she can do is scream at me, but I'm still nervous.

Why did you post this in the Single/Dating section?

She has a responsibility to put on a great play. That can only be done with cooperation from the cast. Just get out there and do what you are asked. If you missed 2 rehersals she is concerned that the show will not be up to expectation. The show will really suck if you guys don't get it together and that's a reflection on her and the rest of the cast.

That's natural.. I get like that when I havn't done an assignment and such.. specially with the crazier mean teachers.... Go to school don't let her get the best of you. I bet other people missed rehersals too! Don't let her get you down because nobody is perfect... She isn't perfect!!!! She is mean! there is no way to make her wrath of anger any less.... because she is a mean person but think of it this way?? She isn't going to change right??? Do this.... Don't mention you were gone unless she asks.... if she mentions it appologize. say you understand it was completley your fault.. she is hard headed and won't change her mind it will be your fault no matter what right? why fight the system. Say you were irresponsible .. she will probably just say... okay... or be so full of herself to agree with you. Just know that it isn't your fault people can miss rehersals and class if they have other appointments and something more important .. face it you made your choice too... Don't be scared! just think of what your going to say.... in advanced so you don't get scared.. have a plan when you go into class... Remember its NOT your fault (even if technically is she shouldn't overreact to abstronomical degrees!) Thinko f the worst that could happen... She yells for 2 minutes and class goes on.... after that just show up to the rehersals and you'll be fine!!! you'll be fine!!! It just takes courage to go there and stay there ! good luck!

I had a teacher just like that. She was also the drama teacher. Everyday she would say stuff to me to put me down. I finally got fed up with it and went to the principle. I was not the only student though with complaints. 10 other students had the same problems with her. She was also a Lesbian Feminist making mover on her students-Eww. She got layed off for a week. Thanks goodness.

Oh man, I know EXACTLY how you feel.

Here's what I did: Grow a spine. A teacher like that walks all over you, and the only way to deal with it is to look them right in the eyes and tell them what you want to say. They'll respect you more for it, trust me.

Laugh in her face! She can't do anything to 'scare' you, unless you let her. What can she really do...have you fail her class? Darn, you will get over and and life goes on(it's what one dum credit)...unless you need a drama credit for something. Even thing you can slide by with a D...

not quite the way you do but there was a teacher that was mean and attmepted to make fun of me becase my father was a minsiter. the teacher was gay and he would repeatedly attempt to draw me into fights with him . i remember that one fight i had with this man was so strongh that i feel Christ was proud of me at that moment . many times the other students would get in on the fights and support me always but there support was often restricked by the teacher.
in the end this gay teacher was found to have had raped some of the students and he went to prision. but really it never would have happened if gays were not in postions of trust with children . i am glad i had the fights with this man and i am proud i won each time with Gods help.
remember teachers can be *&^&^* )(*)* and be terrible teachers
dont be afraid of this *^&^*&^ instead go to school and stand up for yourself by so doing i think your going to be standing up for many others .

Not me, but has happened to one of my children. I had to speak to the principal to resolve the issue. By the way, the teacher was very wrong.

either talk to your mum about it or go talk to your head teacher.. failing that - do remember she cant hit you.. she probably has authority issues and gets off on scaring kids. Just stay polite to her, tell her your sorry for whatever, and then ask her why shes always shouting at you when you've said sorry. that usually shuts them up..

"no! three freakin days"!!!!!!!!!!!!!! then he didnt say anything... just tell her you're sorry and you wont do it again and you'll make up for it.

She's just a teacher...and if she's really scaring you that bad, then you need to tell either your parents, or the principal.
