durabrand are wal-marts own brand -these products are usually made by companies such as scnneider etc. i have had a durabrand tv set for three years now and while i have to accept that in the audio/visual world you get what you pay for. this tv set puts itself across more than adequately with good picture and sound. although it cannot compare to my plasma as a second set its cheap cheerful and reliable.

Are you finalizing the disc when you burn it? Most standalone players won't play a disc that's not finalized. As strange as it may sound, some players don't have the code written into the firmware to play anything but a commercial, store bought cd.
