Not just evolution but now it turns out that bats are in fact BIRDS not mammals as scientists have said. The bible quite clearly refers to bats as fowl which means a kind of bird. Silly scientists look "Leviticus 11:13 And these are they which ye shall have in abomination among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,11:14 And the vulture, and the kite after his kind;
11:15 Every raven after his kind;
11:16 And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind,
11:17 And the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl,
11:18 And the swan, and the pelican, and the gier eagle,
11:19 And the stork, the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat. " Well look at that the bible calls bats a kind of bird well if the bible says so it must be true am I right? Why don't you go arguing against the scientific fact that bats are mammals to go along with your rant about evolution?

Birds lay eggs, Mammals give birth to their young. Bats give birth to their young, just like whales do, that's why they are called mammals. Just because they fly doesn't mean they are called birds. You call the flying fox a bird? Some birds can't even fly like the ostrich.. Get your definition right.

No, I didn't know they had it wrong. I do believe Leviticus was written prior to any dictionary. Who is to say what the 'definition' of a 'fowl' was at the time Leviticus was written. Are you a linguistics expert?

How long ago was the scripture you are quoting written?
Maybe 3500 years ago when that verse was written a bird was defined as something that flew.
