My headboard is wood and if i were to tape the lights to it i wouldn't want to damage the wood.

Screw small cup-hooks into the back-edge of the headboard.This will allow you to drape the lights over the front and still have them attached to the unit. You can use these hooks to change the decorations for different holidays and seasons..Hearts on a string for Valentine's Day... Flowers in the spring etc.

3M Command adhesive hooks will work nicely, as will various 'low-tack' tapes, like 3M's Poster Tape.

use Double sided tape
