Why God created them, who knows, probably because they were really cool. Why they are extinct? Well look at how humans treat animals, why are animals now days on the verge of extinction? Because in some areas and for some animals, we have no controll over killing and are wiping them out. God created them, nature and humans destroy them.

I think there is a god, but he is not the way the bible portray him..i mean, he is wayy very different than the image christians try and caste on him. God is like humans, since he did create humans in his own image...so god is a man that pretends to be god, thats the man who wrote the bible, he is god for you people, he placed in the bible what he think you will fall prey for..who knows

God created all life. When sin entered the world this opened up disease . . . . . starvation . . . . . humans killing animals to survive.
Adam was originally ruler over all the animals.
Read Genesis, understand what really took place after the fall. This can all be attributed to that.
