I like them both equally, and I've been both, but if you've never dyed it yourself, why don't you try highlighting it first? Just to see if the highlights look good? And if you're doing it yourself, it's pretty easy to do, as long as you are careful and don't get carried away. And you may want to try a temporary hair rinse; the kind you put in right before you dry your hair (washes out at the end of the day, I think one is called FanciFull). The texture will be wrong, but you'll get a good idea as to what color will work. Whatever you do, if you are going to buy an allover hair color, make sure it's demi-permanent; if you have natural hair, it will wash out in 21-28 shampoos (right about a month) and you won't get near the damage you will with a permanent. Luck!

well i like brunettes cuz i am one but if your going to dye it don't dye it blonde because it is too much of a change. people do tend to think blondes are mostly prettier but that is absolutely, positively not true. actually the majority of the victoria's secret models are brunettes. lighter brown will look fine. trust me!

I think blondes tend to be stuck up. I like a woman's natural hair color. Brown hair can be very nice , it gets good highlights from the sun.

Hair color is not ugly unless it looks unnatural. Being a blonde, I have slight prejudice and will say that blondes have better hair but if you have a good hairstyle that's all you need to worry about.

If you just don't like the shade of your hair, maybe you don't need to be blonde, but just have your brown hair "warmed up". I'd suggest going to a quality, licensed beautician. They'd be happy to advise you. Just make sure they listen to what you're after, and let them make suggestions.

To try out a color at first that you are not sure whether or not you will like it, get one that will wash out within 28 shampoos. They usually don't have ammonia in them so you wont have to worry about ruining your hair. If you don't like the color it will wash out. If you do like it than you can color it later with a color close to it with a permanent color.
