If you can handle the build up, then try. I could not. It made my hair sticky, and just refused to go, even after 2-3 shampoos. Vit E helps when taken internally, it might help if massaged on scalp also (with some oil), as it gets absorbed well by skin when applied topically. But hair strands don't gain anything from direct application of vit E, other than very stubborn build up.

It's actually supposed to be really good for your hair. I'd limit it to your scalp though. I guess it depends on whether or not you're going to do it for hair dressing (something you leave in) or conditioner (something you wash out). If you're looking for a conditioner that's good for both and natural, I'd use olive oil. Just prepare for your hair to be really moist. It really only works well if you're black or have black-type hair.

It will be a real pain to wash out...Taking it internally helps to make hair shiny and long...I've never heard of anyone putting it in their hair..
